Well, I'm back exactly where I was 25 votes ago right after the -1 bomb.
Maybe the "aberrant" voting was the high votes that had me nearly 0.1 higher...gotta remember that's just as much a possibility... |

I would start a rant but I am not gonna...
BUT....
1) Not every image has to be over sharpened and reprocessed with 2 runs of NI to be a valid image
2) back in the day before the advent of 6GB storage cards,12.4 MP cameras and $29000 Blads noise was part of photography... as a matter of fact real photographers would choose a film for its grain pattern ..
grrrrrr sometime I wish for my F3 and a 24 roll of pan-x
That being said... my image is doing exactly as expected :) |

My last 10 entries have averaged 72 comments each. I only have 10 in the Free Study, though. :-(

| I think the problem with my image is that I did not do very much post-processing. Don't use the NI.. all I did was slight crop, color adjustment and USM. That will teach me!! LOL |

Just counted: 81 comments total for all challenges entered. :(

That's just about all I did with mine Kat. Nancy told me to "Just say 'No'" to neat image!!

NI has its place but not for every bloody image that is shot...
sorry I sometimes dont like the look of plastic... but thats just me ...i'm old school

I'm not angry at all. I LOVE my submission. I think it is perfect in every way. I even have a printed copy because it turned out so well. Anyone that sees it does the OMG BEAUTIFUL .. so 5.2 is a winner for me!! :)

I am right with you on the image ... My wife went wide eyed on my image and wants me to do a print for her office ... thats cool ... I'm happy with it.
I went upscale on the vino... what the heck ... ya only go around once !

I have already sold mine 5 times and its been on TV. Its getting below 6. Well the one sold is a variation. Voters dont seem to matter much when your at the bank cashing checks.

Well, my score steadily went up during the day. Now it's steadily going down. What is it, voters upset because they are home on a Friday night?
I must add, I have 7 comments. One of them, a nice review, from one of the top photographers on the site. That means more to me than the score.

I too went up steadly all day. The last few hours has been up and down. I'll get and 7 or 8 then a 5...then a 6 then a 7 then a 5 etc....
I hope to finish above 6. Maybe 6.1 - 6.3. I feel I have a better than "middle of the road" shot.
