Yes, go ahead and use the title. Thanks for the opportunity. I have Mt. Dew to accompany me along the long road of rhyme and reason. I will sleep sometime.

I've always admired your poetic style. If you're ever bored again, feel free to browse through my portfolio and send me a poem :)

Thank you once again. With heart felt thanks.

Rikki glad you like the poem. Thanks for the compliment. Jeff

You're doing fine work, Jeff, I say as one poet to another. Shout out if the load gets too heavy, and I'll throw in a verse or two myself. But I don't want to 'jack your thread :-)

Tremendous work so far!

Here's one if you're inclined. She is very special to me and was very sick today, first time in her 18 months of life.

Great job.

I am very touched by your poetry, and while I know you've got a lot on your plate, feel free to make one for this

The title is vengeance, but I also find he has a look of angst...

"In Deep"

In reflection of my inner mirror,
My veiled emotion can show no fear.
No expression of pity or pride,
It is my discretion how I feel inside.
Peer expectations clutter my way,
Will my resolution bend or sway?
Though life's expeditions might be steep,
My thoughts and apprehension I hold in deep.

She is fleet hoofbeats far across the plain
of man's beginning, endless waves of horse
flowing like some primordial sea to sweep us
across remembrance on our mortal course.

Flowing like some vast sea. And I float now,
vague and adrift, in deep currents down her eyes,
losing myself, remembering how I will
(when my time comes) fade into misty sighs.

I like horses. They seem ancient beyond understanding to me. I like them very much, and I like how they sigh :-)

I'd be honoured if you still have energy Jeff or Robert. She's a little broken dog...so much suffering yet retains her trust in humans. She has such old eyes! A co-worker has adopted her.

thanks

What's his name, Lee? I might take a go at him later, since I failed in my editing of the image :-)

I haven't considered it a "failure". I've just been patiently waiting for your masterpiece! ;-)

His name is Stephen. Not Steve, or Stevie, but Stephen not shortened or abbreviated in any way. A good strong name! He's named after my best friend from college who passed away from malignant melanoma shortly after I graduated.
