Is there such thing as a two hit Tudor?

Does it look bulky?

Nope. It's a beautiful image of a graceful piano.

LOL joking, you wrote it fast. I like it.

Ok. Here's a photo of mine that I think would go well with a poem. I'd really like bear to take a crack at this one if possible. I think it would go well with his style of poetry. I'm also considering joining in on the writing side of things if I see a photo that sparks my interest and I think would go with my sort of writing. This is such a great thread!

Yeah, go for it man. We just need more photos.

I'll have a crack at it. I still need to do Lesley's desert shot too, that one's coming hard.

If you're looking for photos you could try my second choice posted earlier in the thread.

Run! Run, Tucker Rose!
I guess that's about as fast as she goes.
She's Tucker'd out or out of luck,
cuz she'll never catch the Ice Cream truck!

That's straight from my gut. ;-)

In the crowd, yet all alone

I have tried a slightly different approach...

Photgraph by cpanaioti

Dreaming

Yesterday, I was that child,
running through the grass,
laughter all around me,
hoping this would last.

Yesterday, I was that student,
mortar board clutched firm,
full of celebration,
completing the final term.

Yesterday, I was that man,
a new child in my arms,
her mother lay beside me,
I am excited yet strangely calm.

I still dream of yesterday,
father, husband, student, child,
things all seemed so simple then,
the summers warm and autumns mild.

Now, in the winter of my life,
the future seems unclear,
I still dream of yesterday,
it̢۪s tomorrow that I fear.

I'm no critic, but I found that was excellent. Very well done.

Another gem from Jeff offered for my "Shadows of the missing branches" photo:

"Shadowy Nightmare" by Jeff Sasek (jsas)

Shadows of the missing branches
haunt the wood that once held them.
The cracks show the stress
of letting go the Hem.

A reoccuring dream comes true
whenever the sun shines fair
yet in the light of day there
is only a shadowy nightmare.

Thank you Jeff!

This one brought to mind the stages of grief described by Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross.

FIVE STAGES

No.
It isn̢۪t so!
I̢۪ll squeeze my eyes so tight they cry,
then open them to find
that everything I̢۪ve just been told
and all the pain that rocks my soul
was nothing but a lie.

Why?!
I curse the sky!
It isn̢۪t fair, I̢۪ve had my share
of dirty, rotten luck.
I prayed each night and sang in church.
I did my best and shunned the worst.
Oh God, you really suck!

Pleaseâ€Â¦
Beg on my knees
to turn back time, retrieve what̢۪s mine
and make this go away.
Just take the best years of my life,
order up my sacrifice,
and give back yesterday.

Pain,
It̢۪s all in vain.
The world is cruel and God is too.
I don̢۪t care anymore.
My soul is but an open gash.
All that talk of love is trash.
No one can heal this sore.

Yes.
I'm hurting less.
To think of those who suffer most,
And still they stand up tall.
I̢۪ll seek such fortitude as theirs.
Perhaps, I̢۪ll find some hope to share,
and thank my God for all.
