Being I no longer have my membership, thus no portfolio, I have to link to my galleries over on my pbase site.

I have gone to 3 National Parks, Denali, Big Bend, and Smokey Mountains.

I've never thought myself to be much of a landscape photographer, but after looking back, I do enjoy the peacefulness of getting out an shooting them.

Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Danny,

Sorry to hear you no longer are a member. Hope you join again soon. I've always enjoyed your work.

Here's one from Gros Morne National Park:

These are from my website: //www.newfoundlandrepublicimaging.com

Winterhouse Brook with the Tablelands in the background. Because of the unique geology of this and other formations in the area, Gros Morne National Park was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Gros Morne Mountain

Road to Trout River aka Trout River Gulch The reddish rock to the left of the frame is part of the Tablelands and is actually the earth's mantle which has push it's way to the surface over millions and millions of years. A photograph doesn't begin to describe the eerie feeling you get when you visit this place.

Western Brook Pond a land-locked fjord which was part of the ocean millions of years ago.

I have many more shots on my website from Gros Morne, where I spent most of my summer working and selling my photographs.

If anyone is ever interested in visiting the park, I'd be happy to show you around. Chances are I'll be back there next summer, if things work out. I only scratched the surface last summer; there's hundreds of miles of backwood trails there, just waiting to be photographed. Here's a link if anyone would like further information: //www.pc.gc.ca/pn-np/nl/grosmorne/index_e.asp

Here are just a couple of mine from the most photo'd park there is, Yosemite. I try to be a little unconventional since EVERYONE has shots of this park.

First one from New Years 2004, Second from this past November (camped - BRRRR). If you have only seen this park in Summer w/ 50 billion others, try it in Winter. Totally different look and feel and very few people.

Have not worked out yet how to add a hyperlink to this picture so you will only get a wee view, sorry. If anyone can tell me how to I'd really appreciate it.

Is the image on the DPC website? It needs to be.

If it is, then you just look at the image page and get the 6 digit number that is listed in the URL for the image. (IMAGE_ID=XXXXX)

Then in your post, you can either type [thumb ] then the image # and then [/thumb ] or click the right hand button at the top of the post window "insert thumbnail link to site image". You would then need to click in between the two "thumb" notations and type in the image #.

(but take out the spaces I put in before the "]" - I just did that so the forum doesn't think this is an image.

Acadia National Park

View from Cadillac Mountain (Acadia)

View from Otter Point (Acadia)

View from the "Bubbles" (two roundish mountains; one of the information workers at Jordan Pond told me that these used to be called the "boobies" -- that is perhaps better for imagery and tourism). (Acadia)

I always wanted to start a DPC guide to the National parks. This is going to be a great start of that in this thread. It would be great too if people supply "site" information (e.g., where in the park they were.) I have more locations from Acadia I haven't posted yet, but I'll try to add those later.
