What is the lens that you love most?
Is there any special reason of that?
And if possible friend please share shot(s) by that lens.

With love,
Rudra :o)

I use my Canon 17-40F4 L the most because of the great range for general shooting, but my favorite is the Sigma 105mm F2.8 macro lens. It's super sharp and it's great for shooting macro shots.

Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 hands down. I rarely take it off the camera. It's sharp, it's great in low light, it has great bokeh, and it's got a great range for a walk-around lens. Feel free to peruse my portfolio or my PaD; just about any shot after June 1 was taken with it. :)

man i love my 10.5 mm fisheye, that's probably my favorite... It's good glass and the full fisheye effect on the digital crop. The fisheye is the hardest lens to create a good composition with though...there's a million times I've shot something I think could look good, and there's too much going on in the frame. Here's a few of my successful shots with it though.

50/1.8mkII. Small, sharp and CHEAP. The damn lens went and broke though. My next favourite lens will be the 70-200/4L in two months or so. Just got some stuff sold. $200 away from the thing. And that's not even counting the money I'll get when i sell the Sigma 70-300/4-5.6 APO.

I'll probably keep the Sigma after buying the L. Maybe do some side-by-side testing just to see what I've been missing.

If I could only have one lens, this would be it without a doubt.

Small, light, large range, very sharp and relatively inexpensive. It's on my camera 90% of the time.

Bokeh is the term used to describe the quality of the out-of-focus areas behind the subject in your photographs. Check out the bokeh challenge we had not too long ago. :)

sigma 105mm f/2.8 - macros and sometimes portraits
50mm f/1.8 - portraits
17-40mm f/4 - landscapes and wider angles

Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS by far...

My choice would be the Nikon Nikkor AF 24mm f2.8D. It remains one of the sharpest wide-angles ever made. Its light rugged compact and has many uses besides just landscapes incuding macro. It functions quite well reversed on camera or telephoto and on a bellows. It has an 84-degree coverage (on 35mm) that is the equivalent to typical human vision (both eyes) so landscapes appear very naturally. Unfortunately there is not a prime lens for digital (with the 1.6x crop factor) that gives comparable coverage, yet.

85mm 1.2 or a 24mm tilt shift or my 45mm on my 6x7. all are top notch!!

Tough one! I have four lenses all very good at what they do. But if I had to toss them away, I would limit the range of what I could shoot, but I'd keep this one:

Canon EF-S 10-22mm 3.5-5.6

Could not have gotten these any other way!

Given a second lens to keep, it would be my Canon IS DO 70-300. Small with great range, and sharp too.

So far it's the 70-200f4 - but I have an 85f1.8 on the way, so am looking forward to that also.

The el-cheapo 50MM f1.8 is my favorite, but....
I'll buy the 1.4 version within a few weeks. Nicer Bokeh, and USM.

Every lens I own is a 'favorite'. Each has it's own applications and they serve those very well.

Canon 50mm f/1.4 USM

This lens, in my opinion, has a rather limited application. It's an excellent lens for head/shoulders portrait photos, but I can't find a significant use for it beyond that. I sometimes use it for band and live performance photography when I can get close enough. Everyone raves about it's low light capabilities, but even realizing that it is good for that, the focal length is too long for most standard low light applications. It's a good light-weight inexpensive lens. The image quality from this lens is nice. The autofocus isn't so great in low light. It's not fast enough to shoot sports, but it works well for non action stuff.

Canon 17-40mm f/4L

This is a phenomenally good all purpose lens. It's a great walkaround lens for close quarters photography. It's also beautifully configured for landscape and architecture. It's not very heavy compared to many of its L counterparts. The image quality from this lens is exceptional. It doesn't get much better.

Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L

This is the 'big brother' of the 17-40L. It's significantly heavier and bulkier than the 17-40. The focal length range of this lens makes it a reasonably good general purpose lens. The autofocus is fast enough for any application you choose, and it works well in low light.

Canon 70-200 f/2.8L USM

This is a great lens for telephoto work that isn't too extreme. Adding a 1.4x teleconverter to it makes it an exceptional choice for normal telephoto work as well, even though it will be at f/4 rather than f/2.8. It is heavy and can become taxing over long periods of use. I chose not to purchase the IS version of this lens and I don't regret it. Image stabilization isn't what most people seem to think it is. IS helps you eliminate camera shake from hand holding. It will NOT enable you to shoot at a faster shutter speed than you would in any other circumstance. It could make some minor difference in low light sports photography, but I don't imagine, from my own experience, that it would be significant.
