New here, not sure about how to do this, worst that can happen is it will not work, LOL. Anyway, just would love some feedback on this macro shot. I look and see an alien landscape, yellow gaseous fog swirling around and the tops of plant life showing through. ANY comments welcomed. TIA LINK TO PHOTO

it's nice, but in my opinion it seems a little out of focus? or a little soft? a wonderful macro attempt though!

It's ok, but it's too busy and the viewer is left without a real focal point to draw in the eye. I also agree that focus seems a bit off.

I have changed your large photo to a link. Feel free to post clickable thumbnail sized photo in the forums. We try to keep it dial up friendly. Thank you.

The concept is nice. I do like the "landscape" it portrays. It seems you used a reverse ring coupler for this image. However there isn't a whole lot of focus in this image so the intent of the concept isn't fully translated IMHO. The thing to remember about macro photos are lighting and the use of manual instead of automatic focusing.

Here are some examples using the coupler on a flower similar to yours. Though not as sharp as I wanted, it's still pretty good IMHO.

This is a regular macro:

This is using a coupler:

Sorry for the large picture, try not to do that again, and to those that replied, thanks for the comments too. Jacque

Regrets it took me this long to reply. Rikki, hate to admit it, but I have not a clue what a reverse ring coupler is. Took the picture and cropped it, that is all that was done to it, I did not sharpen it because I liked the way it looked. Maybe I should have, but that is the reason I posted it here, to get other opinions. Thanks to all.
