Thanks for the links, Eddy -

I've made my donations to the Red Cross and the Humane Society and sent copies of the checks off to my husband's employer, who is matching all hurricane relief donations in kind. My pets basically *are* my kids, so I know if they were taken care of in a disaster, I'd feel better, even if I'd lost everything.

I didn't see those postings, but you deleted my original post to the topic which was nothing like that.

None of your posts were deleted, by me or any of the other SC. Posts are not actually deleted, they are hidden so that we can still see them. There are no hidden posts that were written by you. Perhaps you have overlooked your original posts as I see several from you.

I feel like a complete smuck, your RIGHT! My original post is there, sorry. However I do think that unless it gets really ugly (like profanity or personal attacks) that a topic should be sent to rant and not deleted. Just my $.02. Thanks for your patience.

Hey! Just found this (if it's not listed already). You can sign up to help with animals in a number of ways.

Here's the link: Hurricane Katrina Volunteer Registration

Sorry you feel that way. PETA is a great organization focused on animal rights, moreso than other animal organizations. Even if you don't give to PETA, I hope you gave to a fund that is HANDS ON at the coast right now doing what others are just talking about, like the ASPCA.

I'd also like to add that thousands of animals have already died from this tragedy because animal right organizations weren't allowed to enter and secure the rights of the animals. THIS NEEDS TO NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN! Please make a stand TODAY and send a message to President Bush to demand that he include animals in his future plans for disaster relief. You can message the President HERE

Thanks :o)

With the shortage of food down there they could of at least eaten their pets to stay alive. Their beloved pet would do the same to them if the tables were turned.

They are focused on a lot more then the rights of my pets. I didn't mean to offend you, but I'm sorry I didn't know you were a vegan and against hunting and fishing.
