I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.......

I can't figure out which of one of these layouts I like best. Are they all too busy?
Please tell me YOUR preference (and feel free to tell me if you hate them all).
In case anyone is interested, I used to Fotofusion to make these, and all the lighthouses are in New England.

I would like to see more of the background photo. Can you make it two seperate collages or must it be one?

If I had to choose one though it would be #2

I like One the best but would like to see it a but more opaque.
Very cool, I have seem this done in CS2.

I definately like # 3 the best. Looks good. You may want to fade the background image just a bit to make the pics pop a bit, but that is about the only thing I could suggest. Nice job, and great photos!

I like the first, then the second, not the third.

I just added a modified version of the first one.
Thank you for wonderful opinions and advice so far, now I'll just hope for a few more. Dare I hope for a trend, too? *s*

still #2 for me!

#4 The background image seems to take away from the subject images. In number 4 the background is there, but the focus is all on the subjects.

#4. The boats are a nice touch. Reminds me why there are lighthouses. They are muted enough to be there but don't draw attention away from the lighthouses like they do in #1.

I like #2. I think the background is effective and doesn't detract from the photos in the foreground. I do wonder about having the same number of photos on each side though.

I like #4 with the lighter background.
The individual images stand out better and it is easier on the eyes.

#4. I definitely like a faded background for something like this, otherwise the front images sort of sink into the background and everything gets lost in the jumble. I think the angled images in #2 make it a little busy, but without the overlaps (such as in #3) it's a little dull.

I detect a little "FotoFusion Freedom" here! :-)

FotoFusion Freedom being: The fact that it is so easy to do collages that you don't feel "wedded" to one idea - instead you can feel free to experiment with all kinds of ideas because you can do them quickly and effortlessly.

P.S.
Forgot to mention ... I like #4 the best.

Thank you all for your help. I took your responses on board, and tried one more time ... I actually finally have a favorite!"
