I was REALLY contemplating whether I should enter, but decided not to. These are the top two from my shoot, and after I decided not to enter, I edited a bathingsuit top on.
Why a gasmask? Well, why not? I wanted to cover my face, and besides, I've wanted to use the thing eversince I found it about a year ago (btw, it's from World War II, and boy does it skink!) |

Totally tanking, which amazes me because the shot is technically perfect. I guess I should have gone with a less modest, more crass, image for the masses.
This was #2 choice - which is amazingly different from my entry.

all my plans to do my first nude drowned in a serious hangover
i took a few shots half asleep when i had to go to the bathroom at 08.00am and went to asleep again
the picture doent really do justice to her nice legs and the edits are sloppy and hurried
im sorry Thea
i ll make it up one day
but the party was great..he
replaced it by a slightly better edited version
least i could do ;-)

Both of these are really good. The first is my favorite and think it would have scored very high in the challenge.

I thought of entering this briefly, but decided it was too soft and not nude enough for the challenge. Glad I didn't enter now that I have seen the competition! :)

I agree with your self-critique. It doesn't really hold water next to the other photos in your portfolio.

In my non-nude-entry opinion, I don't particularly care for the framing. If you could have gotten more of your head, or maybe shot from a bit of an angle and not cropped quite so tight on the sides, maybe that would help. To me, it just feels a bit awkward how it's framed. I do like the processing and selective desat of the third one.
But, I have a lot of respect for all of you who enterd. I guess I just don't have the 'nads or creativity. |
