I wonder if it is possible to see from the website logs when most of the voting takes place. What I have found from my two submissions so far (not really a good range of data to quote from) is that the first 50 or so voters usually score reasonably well, then during the middle of the week my average drops between .5 and 1 points, then towards the voting deadline it jumps up a little bit.. Anyone else able to confirm this happens with their pictures??

that's pretty common for me, too (mostly)

the first people to hit the voting (at least on my pic) can be anything vote-wise --- the next group tends to set the bar for where i'll probably end up

the rest of the week is mostly a trickle downward with an occasional rise (be still my heart!)

then at the end (like within an hour or so of the deadline), there's a last minute adjustment that usually perks up the score by a few tenths

but that's just me ...

That trend seems to work for me as well. I am relitively new here so could be a meaningless observation. And I really hate to follow Spiderman in a forum and not have something rude to say but.. Oh well, what the heck! Pflattttttttttttttt! Vocabulary challenged indeed!(at least I didn't apply my flatulance to your photo Spider.

Hey, it's all in fun. Peace, love, and thank God I never owned an 8-track tape in my life. You brute!

Mine seem to go the other way... I usually start out lower and slowly climb until about thursday and then level out....

OK... I started one of these threads before. Not surprised to see it come up again...

Based on previous discussions (submissions), my conclusion is that there doesn't seem to be a consistent pattern.

Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see if, across all photos submitted there is one.

Maybe we could come up with this elaborate seasonal model....who knows maybe we could change the whole "science" of trend forecasting??? :)

I wrote a short novel on my thoughts regarding how and why the voting trends work the way they do... at least in my experience. Just do a forum search on "magic number" and you'll find it, if you care to check it out.

Be forwarned. It is long and not for the drowsy.

People feel good at the first of the week, after getting some rest. Around Wednsday they really get grumpy. By Friday morning they start to have hope again. It isn't rocket science. It is the work week.

Maybe the type of ppl who are so excited to get start voting first thing Monday morning (can you say fanatic) do vote differently than the rest of the ppl. It wouldn't surprise me. Also, many ppl go back once they vote on everything and bump some votes up so your score might go up then.
