I just wanted to compliment Patella on taking the time and making constructive and detailed comments on so many (or even all?) pictures.

I've got a mediocre picture in the current challenge and out of over 50 people I've only got 2 short comments so far.

I know I don't always comment either, but I'll make more of an effort, because the constructive and usable feedback is what makes our photos better.

I noticed this as well. Patella gives excellent comments, and quite obviously gives the photos quite a bit more than just enough time for them to finish loading before moving on to the next photo.

I don't know all the tech terms in photography, but I still attempt some sort of comment.
A bad photo must have some merit, otherwise why bother submitting? I would appreciate comments, polite ones. Negative comments help me improve, positive comments encourage. Try doing both.
As for voting methods, JM, I applaud your diligent efforts, WAY TO GO. I will try to live up to your shining example. Currently, I do less, but try to offer my "thought" process as to WHY I voted the way I did.
Thanks all for sharing, esp. those that think about their vote.
