Awesome, congrats!!!
Just curious - are there any stats on how many DPCers have made Kodak's marquee in Times Square?

Great shot...nice to know what a camera like mine can do. Thanks again for selling me the accessories from your S30.
By the way - this is the Bodie Island light (the Kodak site lists it as the Body Head Lighthouse).

Kodak puts it exactly as the photographer writes it.

Well, regardless of spelling, it is a good shot and a great subject.
For those of you who don't know, there are 5 lighthouses on the Outer Banks, 4 of them accessible by car within about a total 3 hours of each other (there's a ferry in there, so it can mess things up a bit). The most famous is the Hatteras light, where my girlfriend and I spent the night in May after the island flooded and the roads were impassible. For those who can make the drive to the Outer Banks, it is worth it. It is one of the few places where you can be on a beach alone and not see any buildings, powerlines, etc. Definately worth it.
Oh, and if you do go, take a good weather-tight camera or use a disposable. The wind can get nasty, and the last time I checked, sand and cameras don't mix. The Outer Banks killed my film camera and lead me to buing a digital (so all in all, not a bad thing).

I am fairly certain Ben went to NYC today for the occasion. I'll check with phreakon later at the zoo (can't imagine why I'd be there today!). Steve how about just in case? Thanks!
Congrats again, Ben!

Run to Times Square???? Those words are magical; how lucky are you to be living in NYC? I'm most comfortable in big cities and that is my fav.(No offense to rural people, I think the country is beautiful too, but all the roads look alike and I get lost and scared!)
