Welcome & good luck! I'll check out the shots in your Portfolio and leave some comments. I think you'll find (if you're anything like me) that you love it here and will quickly become addicted.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing (although it will take up more time than you probably anticipated), because you have the opportunity to learn TONS from some VERY talented and skilled photographers. You'll also find that by commenting on others' images, your own photography will improve. (I've also found that by posting an "offer" to provide feedback on others' images - you'll receive a LOT better response to other people commenting on yours, because they will usually "return the favor", so to speak. You just have to initiate it by offering something to them - and after all it helps you a lot too by making you look for things in your own images. Win-Win)
Sorry to be so long-winded. I'm sure others will tell you I can rattle on for days... ;-)

Welcome aboard Don. Wow! You have some nice glass to go with your D70.. We will be expecting big things from you. No pressure. LOL
Start out by looking at the work of the better photographers on the site. Don’t be afraid to ask them how they got a certain look or the processing they used. People here are pretty friendly and glad to help out. Most of all have fun and shot pictures and enter the challenges. You’ll find yourself learning without even trying.
