I went to the San Diego zoo to see the new Monkey Trails and forest tales section that they just opened last weekend. It is a quite fresh look for the old zoo... any ways plenty of neat monkeys in there but most behind mesh or fench, when you actually get through the fence chances are you will get fence behind the Monkey.

Personally I like to be close to in camera picture without a lot of Post P...but this one I am not so sure what to do about the caging behind the young monkey.

Would you leave as is, Blur, or clone out the caging?

I would do anything possible to get rid of the caging. Distracting from an otherwise crisp and interesting picture. I would recommend cloning.

I'd clone it. I'm all for leaving in the fence if it adds something to the shot but I think in this case it doesnt.

I would remove the fence... may be a little extra work but in the long run with the end result in mind it would be well worth the effort! Removing the fence would also give the viewer the impression that you actually took the shot in the wild!
Good luck!

You should talk to the king of fence-cloning ( crabappl3 ) about the process he used for this masterpiece... ;)

I'm probably the only one that thinks you should leave it in. It is what it is. Why pretend that it's free and in the wild? Give the captive the dignity of stating what circumstances it's picture was made in.
