Post up your setup for the five challenge here.
Here's mine:
I put a flat magnet under the black, shiny paper at the top of my "light box" and stuck the steel balls & paperclip to it. I made my "light box" by cutting the sides out of a cardboard box, than putting the box insid an old T-shirt. Would have had much better results if I'd stapled the T-shirt to the inside of the box, but I'm far too lazy.
Here's the original photo, only rotated & resized:
-edit: and here's my entry:

Rather sad that you get bored of such things... I know I don't. I roamed the countryside with DIM7 this past winter and took some wonderful photos of owls, and he had the good fortune of capturing this beauty, which I never tire of looking at
Similarly, when looking at a recent submission in the "Minimalism" challenge, I found a photo of a flower that contained this gem submitted by Beetle...
I guess when it comes to flowers and birds, we have different tastes. I am sure however that you would agree that there are some outstanding photos to be seen in both of these categories.
Just a thought...

My most sincere apologies Strikeslip...
In my eagerness to defend those that submit photos of flowers and birds, I neglected to comment on your set up. Great idea, and very well executed. My compliments on a job well done.

I didnt want to go with the usual flower shot.. so I tried to Jazz it up a bit.. here is the original: and this is the entry: . I am happy with 35th place, but would the original have done better? Too much processing?

No, I think your processing has added a lot to the picture. Your picture did catch my eye duringthe voting and I think I voted it quite high... it has a very nice quality to it. |

I think the final image was wonderfully superior to your original. Made an ordinary shot special.
