Are the white reflections in this shot too distracting?

yes, I do find the white reflections overly distracting in this shot. I also think the colors and focus are a bit dull, probablly due to the fact that it's through, or in, glass of course, but that's just me. You could try to spot edit out the reflections. |

yes and i don't like the composition.
i do like the soft painterly colors.

Sharp curved reflections of identifiable light sources like windows add interest and surface information to a photograph. Out of focus flourescent tubes not so much. |

The image is too centered - what are the dark areas on the left and right contributing? The "glass' itself isn't very interesting and is cut off top and bottom. Does this have to be a rectangular image? Would it be better square? A tighter crop? that leaf is also chopped off. Include it or pick it. How about making the background really dark so the circle of the magnifying glass doean't show at all. the rose is drab, rather than misty looking. |

Yes, they are. You could probably clone them out, but it may be difficult. I would suggest reshooting, if you can.
