These are pretty much just converted from raw, sharpened, cropped and sized for DPC.

These were all shot with natural light on the left, a reflector and a low power strobe on the right.

Comments/critiques welcomed!

A couple of these could use a touch more post.. but I'm sure you know that . As for everything else, you've done a wonderful job. Some great expressions, the color is nice, etc, etc, etc. heh.

Good, classic studio work here.

There looks like a little bit of light fall off on the one side. This is more noticeable in the eyes. There are a few wrinkles in the background in the full body shots too. Most of that can be fixed with some more post-processing. Overall they're not too bad. That height prop is too cute.

The light fall off is the first thing I noticed. You did great getting them to pose. I know how hard it can be to get younger kids to sit still long enough to take a shot.

One thing you might try is dodging the eyes to lighten up the iris. Since they have brown eyes, they kinda blend into the pupil.

Good work.

IMO, the light fall off adds a nice dynamic. I think, if anything, it could have been a wee bit stronger.. to emphasize the natural lighting.
I agree about the dodging.. brown eyed children are very difficult to get life in the eyes.

Really nice shots! I left you some comments.

Could someone explain what they mean with light falloff. As far as I can see these have lighting that gives form to the faces and bodies. Actually pretty classic light except in the second one. It would look better to have the light side of the face towards the camera. There would have been better separation between the face and the light background that way.

Thanks for the post suggestions, very much appreciated!

Here is the last of images that I plan to show the parents. (Again, no changes other than to convert from raw, sharpen, crop and size for DPC)

What do you think, am I showing too many?

The plan is to have the parents look over these photos and decide which ones they like. Then the ones they pick I'll spend extra time touching up in photoshop.

I think both sets are simply adorable. As a mom, I'd be proud to hang them on my walls! Excellent job! :o)
