After all your suggestions a while back about my post with concert photography ... I'm well on my way with the Entertainment Company calle Inertia Entertainment. Here is a link for the concert shoot I had with them as a test shoot ... So they gave me credit and we will work together again in the future ... I'm excited! My first official photo credits with a company! I had to share with you all ... any comments are welcome of course! Amy's Photos with Inertia Entertainment (the page is pretty large - just as a warning!)

Ayme, those are some really nice shots! Shooting in the dark is difficult and you have done a great job with it... I did not have such good luck when I tried it. I did THESE shots... mine are the ones at the bottom of the page labeled "Octoberfest 2001". They were also done with my old camera...

Great concert photos!! I love taking photos at concerts. These are what I've done.. it's not much but theres quite a bunch I'm happy with.
Matt Nathanson pics (i think i'm happiest with the ones from xfest2002)
Other concerts (just general shots, I think.. like.. 3 or 4 pics out of the entire collection are the best.. rest are just snapshots)
Thats so cool you have official photo credits!
and DANG that was a big file ;) good thing for dsl! weee! - Jen

Great shots, all 74 of them! Fortunately I have a T1 connection at work and today isn't all that busy. Now I have some questions for you Ayme.
Did you use the D7i for these shots? What ISO were you using? What white balance setting did you use? What post processing did you do (typically)?
Thanks for sharing, hope this line of work keeps you going.

Hey Gene .. actually those shots were done with my Sony Mavica FD-91 ... i just recently got the minolta and i'm still learning on how to use it ... as you may see the difference in my more recent and up coming submissions ... the Sony Mavica was set on automatic and i did not use a flash ... Now i'm in the process to get the same results (better quality of course) with the Minolta .. I have yet to learn the settings to let me do so ...
Thanks :o)

If I may suggest a starting point (I have limited knowledge in this area).
Use Shutter priority and set for the desired amount of motion blur. I think you can safely use ISO 200 & 400 on the D7i and push to 800 if you don't mind the considerable noise that comes with it. Use neatimage or some such noise removal program to clean up afterwards. Set the color temp to match tungsten. If I remember correctly, stage lights are tungsten and you will get reasonably accurate color.
If any of this free and unsolicited advice fails to prove truthful, then please conveniently forget who mentioned it :-)
