Just got back from the zoo. These little guys are too cute. The 4 cubs are 10 weeks old, and cute as buttons.
And these guys posed much better than the tigers did last year. :)

Thanks guys! It was fun, and I still have a ton more shots. For those who don't know- cheetahs are a critically endangered species. They don't tend to reproduce well in captivity. The fact that these four made it into the world is amazing. Even more amazing, they were a natural conception.
Possibly the most fun today was running into the Head Cheetah keeper. He was over to one side, watching the throngs of people and just grinning. Looked every inch the proud dad. :)

I used to be a volunteer guide at Western Plains Zoo, Dubbo, NSW, where there is a cheetah breeding program. Three cheetah cubs arrived from Africa while I was there.
I also came up with the idea of a photogrpahy competition (after seeing LA Zoo's one online), which also became an art comp. I guess it's still going; I haven't been there for awhile. |

How adorable! I especially like that first one with the lighting highlighting the fuzz and fur. The clarity, lighting and composition of that one is great. Thanks for sharing with us! |

I must have been out to lunch when you posted these Clara, because I didn't see them until today. They are cute and you did a great job capturing them, especially the shot with three of them all lined up by the mama. That one's a classic. I'm going to have to make a trip down to the zoo. And I'm jealous of you for being the first to post these little cuddlies on dpc. ;-)
