I'm looking for a picture to go on a possible album cover - album title 'Threshold'. I was thinking of something completely over-saturated but looks good... if you see what I mean! Can be one of yours or one you find elsewhere, just make sure you let me know where it comes from!

I always fancied something like this shot: as an album cover.
It came from the same shoot as this shot: |

What type of music is it? Who is the band? Why aren't they using a photographer? |

Don't have any pics handy (will look to see what I can find) but how bout a shot of a VU meter (dual VUs would be cool) from an old PA or Reel to Reel (way back) with the needle (a bit fuzzy) in the red. That says beyond the "Threshold" to me.

Why don't you try working something up from your "Fretboard of eternity" shot. It has a good amount of plain black space where you can put lettering. Boost the colors and sat. Make it smooth with Neat Image perhaps, especially if you want LP size instead of just cd. I could see that on an album cover. Or maybe shoot some more following the same theme.

BTW it's me the musician, solo album. As for style of music, god knows! I don't know if it would fit into a particular genre or style.

Thanks for the idea Bobster, they're both great photos! Only thing is the guitar itself - I don't play a guitar like that so it might be a little strange! Having said that, mine's a copy of Brian May's Red Special and I don't want make a CD that everybody thinks is by Brian May! I might sell quite few but they'll be disappointed!
Thanks for your help, I'll keep you posted!

Likin' that scalvert... lol!
Well, for this album, the artist that is inspiring me most is Pink Floyd, particularly David Gilmour (guitarist). As I said, I'm also a huge fan of Queen & Brian May. I'd be thinking along the lines of Floyd/Gilmour, Queen/May, Dire Straits etc. |

This is my effort - it was a light-painting effort gone wrong, twiddled, warped, squished and other strange effects, then inverted. Thought it look quite... wierd! |
