You can change the (home version at least) to YCrCb colour space, which is really LAB. |

Thanks. Might that be advantageous in an analogous way to Unsharp Mask? I've never really used that technique, but I've heard it can be an improvement over doing it in RGB-space. |

My computer is still out for repairs (argh) so I can't try this stuff in PS yet. Just wondering, how do I set the transparency level of a layer? And how do I 'merge' channels again after separating them?
