Don't do it...instead, save a village full of children in Zambia orphaned by AIDS.
Just kidding...I should just keep my mouth shut.

The performance for sports/ portrait/ event shooting would be a huge boon too. The D60 buffer/ review speed has been increasingly annoying for more responsive types of shooting. |
If you are interested in wide angle, what about a 1Ds, either the mkI (which you might be able to get a deal on) or, the mkII? Both will let you take full advantage of any full frame wide angle lenses you might use.
While it's true that neither of the 1Ds cameras are designed for machine-gun sports shooting, they both will be far ahead of the D60 in terms of fps and AF speed.

Buy a good camera that's half the price and save half a village. See, women CAN compromise.
I hear this cam is overkill anyway...is it the 16mp one? A photographer from Vogue said it's too sharp. Just one review..though. |

Seriously, for landscapes it is not.
The best thing about the markII is the speed, and even for that the 20d is almost as fast for a fraction of the price. If you mostly wanted to shoot fast moving things a lot, birds in flight, sports, ect, then it is maybe worth it, again I would say even still the 20d is probably more than adequate. Then you can still save the village in afrcia, I wish I had : )
I do like the mark ii, a lot, even but had the 20d been out first I would of bought that and I doubt I would have regretted it. I also think that you get a better crop factor with the 20d.
I would rent/borrow something both cameras for a day and then decide. The extra 4000.00 canadian between the 2 cam's would buy a very nice lens or a village. |

What if we just donate our old cameras to this village?
