I know talking about current challenges while they are going on is tricky, but I do have a question for "the powers that be". MUST entries use two or more different files to be validated? Or is this like the monthly Extended Editing Free Study challenge where the "Extended Editing" is allowed but not required for validation?

By definition a composite number is a positive integer greater than one that has more than two factors. If the voters don't see a composite image they might object.

I would hope that it really needed to be a composite. Otherwise it's not meeting the challenge.

Plus, those of us who suck at compositing, and still are trying to do it, would hate for people to bypass the challenge completely and win.

So hopefully people do the challenge as written.

I have no doubt that voters will reward the images that are obviously multiple file composites - as both you and Penny suggest. However, my question is simply about validation.

I think this topic is unfair. Some people are away from their software programs while traveling... or they may not even own any.

I love compositing, but I'm just thinking about others.

Should be outside of DPL, IMO.

We will not DQ an image that doesn't fit a challenge topic unless there is specific wording in the challenge description to that extent. Here there is none. The voters will decide.

Thank you, Lynn.

And on the other end of the spectrum, we have those who are so good at it that the voters cannot tell that it's a mix, and will punish because they don't see it.

I opened this thread and I feel that my question has now been answered. I will understand if the thread is locked for further discussion.
