Anyone else planning on photographing the Perseid meteor shower tonight? I believe you can see it from the Northern Hemishpere between Monday and Tuesday. Here on the East coast of the US, you should be able to see it best at midnight tonight.

I'll probably use my analog camera for this one because I don't think my digital is advanced enough for this job. Thanks for listening to me ramble, just wanted to know who else was checking this out.

I'm glad you reminded me about it. I'm going to try to photograph it. I think my camera can do a good job with it but I'm not sure about the photographer. I think I will just put my camera on my tripod and start shooting with 30 second exposures and see what I get. I think I am positioned pretty good for it from my deck. It is very clear weather here in the Seattle area. Fortunately I am far enough away from the city so that it should be quite dark tonight. We'll see if I get anything.

I wish I had a good spot with less light polution... my 35mm will allow me to open the shutter for an infinite length of time...

Come to think of it, I have two tripods and I've been looking for an excuse to use my 35mm again. I wonder if I remember how to load it with that film stuff.

I was hoping to shoot some meteors, but we're clouded in. :-(

I didn't get any good shots of the meteor shower. There weren't as many as I had hoped there would be. And as luck would have it, I saw the best meteors when my camera was processing the last images. It turned out better to just enjoy them 'live'. Maybe next time.
