I would like holiday photo ideas for kids and family shots.
I have a horse drawn sleigh that I can use and also I thought of having kids open presents and capturing that moment.
Any ideas and links to sites with examples would be appreciated.

This is not really a single picture, but I set up my camera on a tripod, set it to take a pic every 2 minutes while we put up the Christmas tree, than took all the pics and made them into a animated GIF. It was fun, and everyone I sent it to enjoyed it.
Family Christmas Tree
If you have a slow connection, it will take a while for this to load, so consider yourself warned.
Also, be aware that you will need to downsize the images considerably to avoid creating a HUGE file. I didn't the first time I put it together and the whole thing was ~1.5 GB. There are a lot of free programs out there for animating GIF files, the one I used is called "Unfreez", but there are others.

| I think I'm going to try to do some shots of my family at the local Christmas tree farm...the colors of the sky, the trees, and being outside might be rather interesting. :o) |

Bright, window light or open shade outside are prime spots - nothing really needed though you could maybe play around with a big white sheet as a reflector (with an assistant or two...)
Window light (used a flash on camera for fill in this one)
Open shade - no equipment other than a tripod
