A Dutch angle is a camera shot in which the camera has been rotated relative to the horizon or vertical lines in the shot. The primary use of such angles is to cause a sense of unease or disorientation for the viewer.

My winning entry in S-curve is another example :)

At first I thought "Isn't that just like the tilted challenges?"
But, when I looked at it, it is more about the unease and disorientation. Very cool idea!! (and looking at the examples of the old batman tv show really brought me back. They did use that a lot, didn't they! :)
+100! This would be fun. :) |

This sounds good. Perhaps we can do it in Minimal -- that way I wouldn't need worry I can't fix the horizon. |

Minimal sounds ok. Let's get it "right" in the camera.

I think one of my earliest entries did something like this, only in that case I rotated a full 180° ... would that also count if the intent is to "disorient"?

Unfortunately, by law, Dutch photographers are not allowed to shoot Dutch angle in Minimal Challenges. Therefore I have to skip this one :-( |

Agreed. Wouldn't be much of a "challenge" if you could pick any image, rotate to suit, and crop... |

This challenge idea is one that does actually cry out for Minimal... geez, did I just say that??

I agree, unless we go for the alternative title: "German angle", although I'm not sure if we should offend our neighbors. Btw. A real minimal challenge must have a straight horizon, otherwise it would be too easy. |
