I was looking into the x-drive and image tank and ran into the tripper. It seems to have a couple of features that my bf had noticed were lacking in the other two. Anyone have any experience with this device or insidecomputer.com?

I've no experience with the Tripper, but it looks pretty nice. The drawback I see to it is that it only accepts Compact Flash. I like the X-Drive because I can use it with 6 different media. When I move to a new camera, I won't have to be limited by it being compatible with my storage.

Just a thought.

I bought a X-Drive form Inside computer on Ebay before Christmas. They shipped it out as soon as I paid by Pay pal. They also sent me a tracking number for FedEx. My only complaint with the X-Drive is the power button. It is not recessed, so as soon as something touches it, it powers on. (25 second auto shut off though). I fixed it by cutting out a cardboard doughnut and taping it to over the button. It's not elegant, but it pretty much fixed my problem.

That 15GB tripper @ 229.99 looks like a pretty good deal. I like the LCD display. The X Drive has not display, just flashing lights ... works for me.

I got a used laptop instead of the x-drive or digital wallet, as they were as cheap as the other storage, plus I now have a portable computer to edit my images while on the road.
the laptop I bought
