Remember, if you go into DPL with a short roster, you are allowed to add players as the season progresses, if you can find some who want to join. Typically, when the season gets underway a certain number of people think "Hey, that looks like fun!" and ask how they can get in. Also, FWIW, this is why we kept the number of scores used per week at 4, or one of the main reasons; we anticipated that some teams might NOT fill out to 9. |
That was one other rule I was hoping was still being used, just incase I can not fill my team. Down to one spot now, I think.......... |

A CHALLENGE!!!
Yes, I know that's what the whole thing is to begin with, but the CARPe diem team is offering up another challenge.... A challenge within a challenge, if you will.
First Ten
That means you comment on the first ten entries that show up in your voting rotation for all of the DPL challenges. Not only will we then get feedback from our teammates on potential entries, but we'll get a little trial by fire once voting commences. Of course, you're not limited to commenting on only ten entries, but by selecting the first ten, it sort of guarantees a random selection and hopefully everyone will get at least a comment or two during voting.
Any takers?? |

I've never checked.. are the first ten the same for everyone? ie: do they show up in the same order? I think probably not if you're offering this challenge but I just wanted to check. |

No, they are random. Different for every member. But each member's order stays the same throughout the challenge - until he or she votes, of course. I did this recently and it was very worthwhile. But then, my order was lucky that time :)

It's correct that you can fill your team up, if you have vacancies, as the season progresses. DO BE AWARE, however, that (if I recall correctly), new team members won't be eligible to contribute to the team during the challenges that are currently in voting when they join. This is for obvious reasons; otherwise teams might "recruit" someone who's running a high score in a current challenge. :-)
Also, one reason we chose to keep the "contributing scores" number at 4 is so as NOT to unduly disadvantage teams that were founded based on a group-of-7 and choose to remain that way. |

OK I'm in.... I think photography will take over my life for the next 6 weeks! I'll just tell my job that they will see me at the end of July.... I think that will go over well! ;-) |

| well, this will be fun. I was going to start a team of my own as a captain but I decided to keep my name in the FA Pool. I was asked by one of our members and gladly accepted. Now I'm ready to give it my best :) |

Heck, photography took over MY life DECADES ago. I tried to kick the habit for about 10 years, but wasn't successful :-) |

Season 3 is live! Holler if you spot any issues.
I plan on making some changes to the home page to better inform everyone involved in the season what's going on, but for now, check the league page to see Current Happenings.

Kobba answered you at 4:08, quoting me, but I'll repeat: we count 2 challenges a week, the "Sunday" challenge and the "Tuesday" challenge. The one on Thursday, the Free Studies, and any special challenges do NOT count.
"Road Signs", which was just announced 15 minutes ago, is the first challenge of DPL3. |
