Bossanova 14" non-flat tube 1993 model, 11" working area.

Sony GDM-FW900 24" widescreen CRT Trinitron at work, 20" Apple Cinema Display at home, 12" iBook on the road. Of these, I prefer the Cinema Display- it's much easier on the eyes. I do frequent, critical Photoshop retouching, and the Cinema Display is just fine for that.

17inch (elderly) Envision LCD. Under controlled light it's pretty good.

I own both CRTs and LCDs. The CRTs consistently produce a more faithful image. My favorite is a Trinitron 19" CRT.

Apple 17" Studio (LCD) and soon I'll bring my 21" Formac Oxygen LCD and the Apple display will be used for application palettes (InDesign/Photoshop/etc). Both are excellent monitors. And the LCD from my 17" PowerBook, forgot about that one.

Apple 17" CRT at home, with access to Apple 15" PowerBook LCD when travelling.
Prefer the 17" CRT for photo editing, although the PowerBook LCD is very good.

CRT NEC-Mitsubishi 22" Diamond Pro 2060u (w/spectraview) as primary monitor with a crappy 14" CRT as my secondary (for color independent things in PS, like tools/layers/history/histogram/nav/info/etc.).

I have 2 x 17" ViewSonic VP171b LCD flatpanels. Pretty nice monitors although if I had the desk space, I would most likely go 2 x 21" CRT.

Apple 20" LCD Cinema Display...love it!

2 21" Sony trinitrons. They could heat the house and almost required an addition to my office space :) But, the picture is amazingly crisp, the color adjustment capability is fantastic, and 21" is a lot of real estate (especially x2).

If I could get 2 LCD / plasma displays in the same size without refinancing my home I'd love the reduced power consumption and gain in desktop space. But functionally I have nothing to complain about.

my dad bought a 37inch lcd tv I wonder how that would work for photo editing :-D

17" Logisys CRT (used to have a 15" HP CRT)

Got it for free when my brother bought a new computer. It's crap, but it works and is bigger than my old monitor. Thus, I am happy.

I have a 17" CRT.. I want a 21 or 22".. I won't go to LCD until they are comparable in price to CRTs, and for another few years until the technology has really come into its own.. (withough having to sell your newborn child in order to own it)

Samsung SyncMaster 192N 19" LCD, (spydered) crystal clear, no heat no noise, no space hog and unlike CRT's true 19" Viewable. Got an awesome deal at bestbuy.

We bought my Wife a Tatung 17" LCD which is excellent if you can't go bigger...pretty close to the best Clarity, brightness and contrast that I have seen on an LCD.

ED: Typo

17" NEC Diamondtron...very colorful and flat screen too, but I hate the controls for geometry, as I can never get them right.
also, just found a Compaq mv720 that someone was throwing out, and it works great too. I love finding free, or cheap stuff...
Now if I could only find a DSLR floating around someplace ;)

I just came back from the store checking out their 19" LaCie electronblue IV CRT. I think it's pretty good so I might buy one after Christmas. How many here actually use a Lacie monitor? How do you find it?

I have the bigger one at work, and I find it quite heavy. Reinforce your desk and improve the ventilation ...

It has a great picture, although I don't get to edit photos on it very often.
