Stage a scene that combines found or created 2-D element(s) in a real 3-D setting to create an image with the intent of fooling the viewer. Complete your homage to the early days of photography by desaturating your image. MINIMAL EDITING! Special rule to allow non-documentary photography with the intent of hoaxing the viewer.
The Cottingley Fairies are a famous early example of such a hoax.

If you're citing and old-time illusion as inspiration, how about challenging us to fool the viewer with old-time Minimal editing? |

Sure. OK. Hey that gives me an idea--BW might be fun, like olden days of yore. Maybe we could get some 'classic' BW comps, then. "D
Could you change the spelling of Cottingly in the title to the correct Cottingley? Thx!

+1!!!! Yayy Minimal! After all they didn't have PS back then. But please, if we have to shoot jpgs and are only allowed to straighten, resize, sharpen and desat images, can't we at least be allowed to crop them? Isn't it about time Minimal got that teeny tiny l'il bit of an overhaul? Is it too much to ask?! |
