| I was thinking about this too. Perhaps with the stipulation that it would ordinarily be a symmetric image? That would be hard! :-) |

| Well, for me the interesting thing about asymmetry is the way it depends on the expectation of symmetry for its effect. |

| I assume you are talking about asymmetrical composition. Most good photography is asymmetrical in composition. So, I don't understand what the challenge is supposed to be. If you mean something else, then come out and say it. Otherwise, this is a bad idea for a challenge because too many will narrow the interpretation far more than originally intended. |

We've had Symmetry and Symmetry without reflections. Now Asymmetry.
How about Asymmetry with reflections? |

It's not so bad. "Asymmetry" as a *topic* is a far cry from asymmetry as a compositional motif. It would be interesting to see what the shooters (and the voters) make of this. I'd love to see some thought put into the *nature* of asymmetry, the *essence* of it, as opposed to just putting a subject off-center in the frame. I would be inclined, for example, to pay close attention to a centered shot of an amputee with only one leg... |

I'd like to see some thought put into the nature of asymmetry, too. It seems to depend on the expectation of symmetry.
