Show us the beauty of a single Gerbera daisy. Do not use a background to make the shot more interesting. Create interest instead by composing the Gerbera off center. For those of you who are really daring, you might even crop off part of the flower!

hmmm.... that's the backside, it makes me feel a little uncomfortable.... you seem to have some rulebreaking tendencies that you might want to have checked. |

Off-center non-daisies ...
ETA: I think I need to try something other than a lower-left focal point ... :-(

This suggestion seems very specific. What Fstop, ISO, and shutter speed should we use? |

These examples are all DNMC. Pink background, yellow, blue, black and pinkybrowny vignetted bg! Come on now. You said NO background.

And now that April 1 is all but over, I have to admit that you got me. I mean I knew the challenge suggestion was tongue in cheek, but I completely missed that it was an April Fool's joke. But then, my husband got me with "The sky is falling" this morning . . . |

The problem with this kind of thing is the stem is so very susceptible to getting torn when you try to print it. |
