I am wondering if anyone sees these as interesting or if they belong in the junk pile. I was playing around for the Mirrors challenge and got these instead. Now I have no "distance" from them. Thank you!!

I love the pink one... but of course pink is my favorite color, so I'm biased. I like the pattern of the glass. Cool experiment! :o) |

I am supposed to wait until Christmas, too . . . but don't tell anyone! WooHoo, we'll both be having a LOT of fun! (Check out the forum at dpreview if you get a chance.)

The last three appeal to me but the first doesn't resonate. Last one is exceptional. |

I like the last three; #2 and #4 being the best IMHO.
#3 could use some more contrast, I think... |

The second one is my favorite by far. I like it very much. |

Thank you all for the comments. I may keep the pink one in my portfolio for now, I think. I am hoping to come home tonight with a new camera -- the Kodak 7590 is available at one store as of this mornig. WooHoo!

The water-swirls are pretty good - and quite pretty, though I agree with the violet one needing more punch. The pink is obviously the best fiinished of them, IMO. I think the first shot is promising - it doesn't quite do it for me, but I'm resistant to abstract photography.
Can you spare the time to say what it is you were after with it? What kind of impression you were trying to create?

This is a clam-shell type glass dish (the 3rd and 4th shots) that I purchased in an antique store. Originally I was trying different effects with a mirror for the challenge. These shots here were shots of just the form and lines. I just enjoy color and lines sometimes and liked the movements in the shots. The first shot is using mirrors and I liked it out of the camera like that; same with the second one. I have a bent towards the abstract at times, but usually for fun. Thanks for asking.
