What a life he must've led. And to have so many loved ones for his memory to live on through, I'm sure he was a very special person and my thoughts are with you and yours tonight.

Thank you very much everyone! It is nice to know that there are so many decent and thoughtful people both in the world, and in here. It means alot!

I was to young to understand the loss of all of my grandparents, but having lost my father and father-in-law in the last few years, I can feel your pain. Me and mine are thinking of you and yours during this difficult time.

A great bunch of people you all are! His saying was "one day I'll be pushin up daiseys" And we all put a daisy on his coffin before they buried him. It was such a great tribute. Thats my daughter, # 7 of the great grandchildren, placing a daisy on his coffin. I get choked up looking at that pic, and probably always will. Thank yu all again!

What can be said that hasn't already been said.

Maybe I have a different way of thinking, but anyone that has
lived a rich, full life, touched so many, seen so much and
passed it on in the way of memories for generations after,
is the most successful kind of person around.
Shame to lose those that are close, but as it is something we
cannot escape, to pass on with dignity & honor is not a shame.

My Stepfather recently passed away and was one of the most
influential persons in my adult life, and in many ways a hero.
I can only hope I can leave such a mark when my time comes.

Kind regards,
