I am thinking with a touch of nostalgia about some great and some not so great people we had through this mill.
How many remember Daniel, graphicfunk the old master? Imagineer, Jutilda, Colda, Sandy P, Artan, Sara R, Brad P, Annig and so many more of old?
And how many remembers Rose, mr_slippers and those?
Balance. Then to bring perspective; look at all the greats we have, great great photographers. I love you and respect you each and everyone! |

| Although I always admired Daniel's portfolio, his character was what separated him from the pack, IMO. I doubt there's ever been a more gracious soul pass through here. |

I remember them all. Daniel was special to me. I remember cruising around San Diego in Brad's VW.
Jutilda doesn't belong in that category though, surely? She's still commenting, though she's been absent from the forums since just after Shez passed on. |

Ok -- We need links to profiles. I tried looking up Daniel, but the one listed just as Daniel only has 4 entries...

For those that may wonder, no, my memory is not that good. I pulled a list of all users with user numbers <=2500 (mid-2002) then filtered to those that had entered challenges, and ranked by challenges entered. Then I went through and flagged names that were "memorable personalities" here, copied, pasted, et voila! Took longer to run the query than to compile the list. |

Amen, and same to Pawdrix...
jjbeguin has virtually disappeared, though he's entered twice this year. He's one of the great photographers of DPC. And Kiwiness?

I'm officially depressed. Here is the list that shows why DPC is just a shadow of it's former self. Some of the names I see are the reason I became interested in DPC years ago. Some of these people not only posted images that made you go WOW! but then would show you how they did it. You still have a few doing that today, but not anywhere near the numbers like it use to be. I think Art Roflmao is one of the few still on here that I couldn't wait to see what he came up with next. It was the loss of some of this talent that changed the look and feel of DPC (even though many say they don't see it) and led to me letting my membership lapse, deleting my profile images and leaving for a couple of years. I wondered back out of curiosity and to see if it had managed to cycle around to be closer to what it once was. Ah well, it's the evolution of social media. Nice to see some of the names though, I'd forgotten many of them.
