My son is getting married on Oct. 21st and they asked me to take their announcement photo for them. This is what I came up with:

Any comments or suggestions to improve it are welcome.

Thanks

Cute picture, they look happy and 'integrated' in the pose. Don't much like the frame though that's just a personal choice.

I guess I'm the oddball (like y'all weren't aware of that already)... I kinda like the frame. The pic is beautiful, and they look so happy together. Great job! :o)

I like the composition and frame! well done. If your looking for that something different, perhaps nobody else noted, reshoot the exact image but have your son wear a different shirt (with come color) and a crisp, brand new white undershirt. I know Iknow, its petty - my clothes get blown out and dingy too, but a brilliant white shirt adds depth and clean character to he who wears it. just .02.....:)

Thanks for the feedback, I'm not too fond of the frame either but I made up several different 'test' poses and frames and this is the one that the Bride and Mother-in-law selected. Now I need to print up 550 copies. Sure glad I'm using photo paper from Sam's Club and refilling my printer cartridges :-)

Nicely composed. I like how they are positioned; so comfortably happy with being together.

However ... you knew there was one :) ... usually the eyes are the center of attention in a portrait, but their smiles being so big they are squinting. It makes the smiles the most noticed part of the image. That said, you might consider touching up his "smoker's" teeth so they are not so noticable next to her pearly whites.

David
Hopefully said with enough tact. :(

Lovely composition, they look so very happy!

If you ever shot it again (not that I think you need to cos it's gorgeous) I wonder how it would look with his hand coming up and resting on, touching her lower hand.

Very good, now you have three things to be proud of, your son, his wife to be and the photo who binds them so well togeather. ;)
