Did the pedal brake off of yours the day you bought it too? Over five years of toughening our toes on a piece of metal rod. It's a wonder we haven't all died of tetanus yet.

Saw the Acura cabin filter vid. Dealership screwed you if they said they checked it. I've never seen filters with debris like that...

Dealerships... will I ever learn?
A pretty nice string of curses came out of my mouth when the guy pulled those out right in front of my eyes. If I knew it was that easy to change them I would have done it the day I bought the car, but I'd looked it up and all the instructions I found had diagrams of removing the glove box and maybe even part of the dash. Must've been for older models? He simply opened the glove box and flipped two tabs on either side.
Anyhow... he said they'd found a live kitten on the underside of a car earlier that day. It survived a 20 minute ride, partly highway. One of the techs took it home.

My wife was visiting some friends in Quebec who have a similar style can, only it's battery operated and opens with the wave of a hand via sensors. They bought it at Costco, and after she described it to me we were both very excited to get one. Unfortunately, they aren't available at out Costco. Someday we'll replace it. I hate it. The kids use their hands and the chrome lid is always greasy & sticky.

I have a keurig. Love it! I was answering a survey on line about this time last year and they asked if I wanted one and if I would be willing to answer a weekly survey about it.
I said yes.
I got my brewer and 4 free boxes of coffee every two months. :P
(If it wasn't free, I would've never had one). |

Capsule coffee.... tried a few of them. Have a Nespresso system. Wife uses it for decafs.
Here is my humble setup. All Italian prosumer quality. The digital "PID" below is something I retrofitted myself. It ensures pre-infusion and keeps the boiler temperature within 1 degree C to avoid temperature surfing prior to pulling a shot. The grinder is of essence. A good grinder is more important that a good machine. I love it... addicted to black Caffè Americano's and Espressos.
I love coffee.

I'm jealous.
I blame the Italians, at least in part, for my addiction to coffee. When I worked there, it seemed that about every 45-60 minutes someone was coming by my desk asking, "Caffé?". Not wanting to appear rude and of course, enjoying the company and conversation, I almost always accepted. I spent the first few weeks wired out of my mind. |
