Hmmm, that's a challenge for you..I have I few ideas if I were in your shoes....But, having a underage female pregnant girl in a photo might take some teeth pulling and photo releases....I can see a shot done where it looks like a poster message about teen pregnacy and where to find Hope and have hope...Basicly advertisment. |

Makes me wish I had a car(and a driver's license)... so I could drive out to where Prince is performing on Thursday and take pictures of the doe-eyed female 30-somethings near the Performers' entrance hoping to catch a close-up glimpse of the Prince of Purple....

I have taken and entered my photo. I think the idea is OK, but it is also fairly subtle. I am hoping that voters read the title and description to understand the picture in it's true circumstances.
Only time will tell..
Good luck everyone

There are many that will count an image down if the title has to speak for it. The thinking is that a photography is a communication between the photographer and the viewer -- so, if the image does not speak for itself, the photographer has failed in the delivery.
See if there is a way to retake it, or at least the concept, that doesn't require a title or discription -- and then name it afterward.

agreed, I often notice people saying they don't even look at the title. Most voters think the picture has to speak for itself. |

I am a new member and have several questions (I just submitted my first photo). 1- how do i know if my photo is over 150KB?? 2- how do I know size i,e,; "no shorter than 160 pixels or no longer than 640 pixels" and 3- when i submit my phot how do i know if it "went"? The greenbar at the bottom goes across and stays there.. it doesnt "go to next page". and on my profile it still says "number of submissions 0".

Hi, Medinfo2000. You might do better to post this as its own thread as your questions are not really related to BradP's original post.
Anyway, this tutorial will probably help you out some with your questions:

Not only do you have to be a good photographer, but a computer geek as well, plus online thread etiquette. Wow, but this is fun and makes it worth while. Thanx for the tutorial - medinfo2000 |

Yes, it takes a while to get used to the world of on-line forums. Fortunately, people tend to be pretty cool in showing us the ropes. I'm glad I could help with that link... |
