| Anybody have any recommendations on the best photography apps (both "regular" editing and HDR) for the iPhone? |

The Photographer's Ephemeris: amazing app shows on map direction and time of sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset for specific location, date time. Very easy to use and very revealing for where light and shadows will be.
pCam: extensive set of calculators and other sorts of information; depth of field is the one I use the most, although it also has a focusing star pattern and a mini information slate like they use when recording movies and much more.
Color Curious: use iPhone camera to sample a color then see the closest descriptive term, rgb vlaues, or hex values.
Snapseed: post processing without waiting to get back to a computer with photoshop. Pretty good range of tools.
RadarScope: weather app that tunes in to weather radar, shows progession of weather activity over a number of minutes, allows you to see severe weather alerts. Much more specific than the general warnings you might hear on he radio. Very ueful if shooting outside in variable conditions.
TimeLapse: easy way to make short movies showing things moving faster than real life.

| I also like King Camera - nice editing tools and a very useful time-lapse feature. I've also used PhotoForge2 and Snapseed, both pretty good for textures and effects. Photosynth, is a simple but effective panorama app. |

I also recommend King Camera.
Also Photosynth creates some neat panorama pics that are saved as a regular image but also as a "scrollable" almost 360 degree file.

| Fotor is an app I recently downloaded, and really liked what it could do with the post processing. Haven't used it to take a photo, but seems like it has some nice options. |

King Camera is a great iPhone photo editing app. It has unique features that Camera+ and ProCamera don't have. This is an app for anyone interested in taking their camera photo editing to the next level. Check out its review: appfavour.com/photo-video/king-camera_430240788/

From the Pogie Awards Article in today's NY Times
Originally posted by Linked Article: CYCLORAMIC Just when you think that nobody could possibly have another fresh idea for a phone app, Cycloramic ($1) makes 360-degree panoramic videos — without a tripod or swivel.
You stand the phone upright and tap the Go button. Incredibly, the phone, balancing on its end, begins to rotate itself. Freakiest darned thing you ever saw. Great for winning bar bets or establishing new religions.
If you’ve ever seen a phone scoot itself along a table when it is in buzz mode, you get the principle. The app triggers the phone’s vibration module at exactly the right frequencies to make the phone turn on the table. The phone’s sensors figure out how far it’s rotated.
It works only on shiny surfaces like glass, polished granite or laminated wood (like desks), and only the iPhone 5 has exactly the right balance. It’s a jaw-dropper. |
