Correct. Of course you may not know whether you are through until rollover, so you'll need to have entered an image for the next round in anticipation of a victory.

Yeah but his starting average is .47 higher than yours. If you can pull off a 6.1 then he needs a 6.6, roughly, to beat you. It's a doable proposition :-) Fight, fight, fight!

Thanks for the pep talk! I'm looking forward to the challenge, win or lose. Honestly, for me, the best part of entering challenges is getting out & taking photos... the challenges are a bonus (although I have been known to have a competitive streak... guess that's why I'm typing this while standing on my head!)

I'm up against the formidable ursula. This is a person for whom I have much respect. She is a superior photographer with a superior "everything". The only advantage I have is my lower average score. I have captured a mediocre image for the Upside Down challenge. It will attract a mediocre score. I predict I will lose by .01. But, all i can do is what i have done....photograph to the best of my limited ability and hope for the best.

Hehe, I admire your work too. I was very worried about the possibility of there being a landscape, or, even worse, a wildlife, challenge. But, no, it's upside-down, and I have absolutely no ideas so far for it. We'll see. In any case, it's an honour to go against you. :)

Hey, don't be sorry, we all make mistooks ;)

And yes, just the upside down challenge average is counted for round 1.

:) Thanks that is great to know

I'm kind of dreading now that this KO challenge is based on Sunday challenges. If you are one of the many like me who work a lot of hours during the week, it really only gives you Saturday to shoot unless you want to possibly rush your processing after a Sunday shoot. And using evening light on Sunday just isn't possible if you have to post the same evening :(

ETA: I guess the Sunday challenges are more of a problem for those of us in the Pacific Time Zone (or later). If I even had until midnight to finish up Sunday's shooting I would feel better about it. Oh well :-O

I'm in...not too excited on the idea but my first idea that I loved would have been too subtle for the voting majority methinks.

MargaretN, if you continue your high numbers streak you may very well trump my entry.

Less than 48 hours, good luck to all in the tournament!

HA! I am still working on mine. I don't have anything that would be likely to be in Top 10 and our averages are very close so anything can happen! Good luck everyone!

Indeed.
For me the challenge deadline is currently 6pm. If I want to do a sunset shot, it really only gives me one chance on Saturday since the rest of the evenings I'm working.

Hang him upside down like a bat and put wings on him and *I* may have to give you a 10! Providing no Bearded Dragons are harmed in the process LOL.

I've been swamped this week and am headed out of town today for a 2-day drive. My entry is not all that imaginative but it's better than losing by default so I'm going with it :-)

Guess I'm lucky. Challenge deadline is 6AM for me. So I have 6 hours at least for the processing of my Sunday photos. (But for this one, I just submitted my entry)

Your average was taken last Friday at the point the pairings were made...

Ugh! That's rough Mark if you need to get a sunset. Hopefully for this topic you managed something during the week- good luck to you!

You just made me mad Henk-Jan. Not only do you get more time to process your Sunday images than I do, but I just took a peek at your 2009 Food Book. It made me SUPER hungry, and I have no food in the house! ;)
