Have no fear (ok, a bit of fear). My average is 4.6 because, strangely enough, most of the time my score is there, thereabouts, or below. I have been thinking about spoiling it all by making an effort though.

Ha! - the draw is done by using your average scores backwards so the least significant digit becomes the most significant and then ordering that list.
You'll see that for my match our two least significant figures are the same and that has led to the pairing. I can't manipulate it.
I did manipulate two of the triplets though to take into account that one of the participants in each triplet might not play. Other than that, the numbers mean the list orders itself. |

Yeah but his starting average is .47 higher than yours. If you can pull off a 6.1 then he needs a 6.6, roughly, to beat you. It's a doable proposition :-) Fight, fight, fight!

I've got a tough matchup. I'm going against davidw his avg is 5.5 but looking at his work he can easily crush that. My advantage is that my average is terrible and I've been better than my average by about .7 in my last five challenges. Still going to be tough.

I was under the impression it was starting with THIS week's challenge - which would be the card challenge. I thought that was why the pairings were announced in advance... oh damn, if that's the case i'm gonna get slaughtered meanwhile my card entry is over a full point above my average...
Should've read the OP better, it says "for the challenge announced at rollover tonight"....damnit
