Is this a DPC image? I can't remember whose it is... Ran across a website that posted some great portraits with no credit given to the photographer. I thought it looked really familiar.

I'm guessing that the Aussie Warrior shot is one by Judi
They are some of her friends, and it looks a lot like her processing and style.

I love the "disclaimer" they've put:
DISCLAIMER: by mistake this post has been published as a draft before adding credits to authors. Some readers noticed that, we really apologize about it. We didn’t mean to steal anything, the main purpose of koikoikoi is giving visibility to creative people who deserve it, and we ALWAYS credit authors. Unfortunatly since the post has been published months ago we can’t find some of the authors. If you know them please let us know name and possibly portfolio url and we’ll add the credits right away. The ones we won’t receive any answer for will be removed in days. Sorry once again for this mistake and thanks for letting us notice it.
I may be wrong, but before "borrowing" other people's photos, shouldn't you err on the side of, I don't know, common sense, and NOT publish photos without first getting credit?

Exactly, so in those 27 months, they couldn't post a disclaimer PRIOR to being called out? SMH (at image theives)
Perhaps that's why I'm weary about posting my pictures on DPC? Not that anyone here would steal the photos, but random people may, and then, I would have to HOPE that someone would recognize the picture in the 8 trillion, 945 million, 329 thousand (you get the idea) webpages out there.
***not that my pics are so great, but, the thought of an image being taken and passed off as someone else's makes me cringe***

i dont really care if someone post my picture as a great images blog, it if anyone ever uses one for advertising and trying bypasses fees i was entitled to.
but really how can you have a best images blog and not credit the author, how do you not know who the author is, you had to get the image from somewhere... |
