Are you secretly logging chats? Who told you about the timestamps! Surely it wasn't Cory, since he thought it was a bad idea. |

Bad idea? why? it just shows you when you were in the room, so you can't tell people you were there forever waiting when time stamps shows you waited only 2 minutes :P
...and the last conversation was made 45 minutes ago. It's like here in the forums. I think you're confusing the time-stamp with something else! |

I suggested a timestamp in casual conversation with Cory. I LOVE timestamps and have them on every chatty thing I use. He thought they'd be annoying if each new line had a stamp with it. |

DPChat.net is starting a new photo contests very soon. All winners will get something in return, not only digital ribbons. Contests will start once every three months. Depending on its volume, could go down once a month... and here is how it works:
Subjects will be selected by me, and photos must be taken within 30 days following of the subject announcement and uploaded to DPChat.net website, not here. Image original files also must be uploaded at the same time, not after. Upload of the photos must be done only once, no revised versions will be accepted!
There are two levels of voting for this contest. Preliminary elimination by the public, which will last one month, followed by a group of selected jury to come up with top five winners from 10 photos.
Here is the best part... first place gets a free DPChallenge membership and a DPChat hat with an actual 8X10 certification which will have a blue ribbon printed on, second place will get a DPChallenge membership and a certification, same but with red ribbon on, third place will get DPChat mug and a certification with yellow ribbon printed.
HMs will get certifications only sent to them as well. All 5 photos will be kept in a virtual vault called "winners vault" at DPChat.net
Only advance editing rules of DPChallenge website will be applied for all contests, that won't change with the subjects of the contests. Once you are on top 3, you won't be able to enter to another challenge at DPChat.net... winners vault will contain unique winners only, no repeaters. Top three photographers will be offered into DPChat.net's jury pool.
Jury will be selected by me, in or out of DPC, which will contain 5 people. I might change juries each time, that will depend on their availabilities.
Why 3 months turn around you ask... Good reason: This contests starts without any sponsor, out of pocket expense from me only. 3 months is a good time to put a few bucks to take care of the winners prices. If this get sponsored later on, contest time could be shrunk to a month... or, just bomb out to nothingness... we'll see!
I call this contest "Super Side Challenge"!

This saturday the 28th... cory will interview me at dpchat.net be there to throw some tomatos.
Remember, the January 4th, jagar is at dpchat.net interviewed by bear_music himself...

Little secret to tell you.There is a section at front page, left hand side, for you to enter your email so you can be notified instantly when the room occupied... and, try to stay bit longer there, more people sign up, faster someone shows up.
Just sayin... |
