Grog must not be terribly inspired these days...

Variation, originality, mood, story and technical quality. Variation and originality are very important, when a certain motif has been posted many times, it will be very hard to get it to ribbon again. Always try to find a new creative twist when you photograph something.

Grog's usually been averaging 6-10 per freestudy, but as time goes on it gets harder to avoid rehashing Grog's earlier observations. I don't want his brain to burn out, he doesn't have much to spare. (Don't tell him I said that.)

I guess. 3% flowers can seem like 3% too many if you hate flowers.
[eta] I have a secret crush on Grog. Don't tell him I said so.

Well, I just gave all the landscapes a 1 :-) So far, so good. For the record, that represents 29% of the entries, plus probably a tad more, since a few of them I have consulted on so I don't vote those. The rest of you landscapers, fear not! I'll be adjusting you within a day or two :-)

I won't. His ego is out of control as it is.

I lumped "urbanscapes" in with "landscapes", and of course "seascapes", so the category's sort of... ermmm... FLEXible :-)

All the 'scapes have been adjusted from their sorting group (1) to their scoring group :-) I'll get to the animals tonight or tomorrow. Then I'll give some more 1's to people shots and do them next :-)

Well, that helps explain some apparent troll behavior.

I kind of like the way you are thinking and voting, lol! Keeps everybody guessing and makes sense!
Rankles a few nerves temporarily, lol, but what the heck! If we enter....we get whatever, lol. Now, back to watching my downward spiral, lol! Sigh! I need popcorn! :P
