Happily it is slowly creeping up. All three comments seem to like the emotion and story of the photo. Which is exactly what I wanted to convey even if the score doesn't. |

Again we've lost some entries. Started at 325 and now down to 321. Are people pulling their own? Are photos being reported? Seems to be happening a lot lately.

Can you pull your pictures during voting? |
If there is an obvious rules violation (text added to image, etc.) then DQing is pretty routine during voting.
And it is possible to self-DQ (remove your entry during voting) but this can only be done one time for every 25 challenges entered, and that assumes that you don't have any other DQs during that time period. Further, the self-DQ counts as a DQ, and if you receive another DQ for any reason in the next 25 challenges, you will be suspended for a time period....

I enquired about a (tactical) self DQ during the DPL season and was told that although it would tot up with any previous DQs or possible future DQs for suspension purposes, it would not show up on your profile as an actual DQ. |

Correct - The image will be removed from your portfolio of submitted entries, but the self DQ still counts against your allotment of DQs for the site. |
