Week 4
The women mostly get around like this
Ok just to clarify, some of the men and woman can drive cars, but cannot afford too ! They also take their life in their hands and ride in mini bus taxis ; but it is a very poor area here reliant mainly on livestock farming due to poor soil. most of the work comes from tourism Wakkerstroom is a very important birding area and a protected wetland, there are some open cast coal mines about 100 ks away which provide some employment and some of the bigger farms.

Roark Bluff along Buffalo River
The downstream half of Roark Bluff along the Buffalo River in northwest Arkansas. Entire bluff is approximately a mile in length and rises up to 150 feet above river. River is behind tree lline in front of bluff. Took this last Saturday when we had an exceptional 70 degee day in January. With the snow and ice we've had in the past 24 hours and the present below zero wind chill, it would be virtually impossible to get down to this site today!

- Week 5
We've had foggy mornings here, and just wish I had several hours to roam around surrounded by it, taking pics. |

Week 6
One of my first attempts at a HDR with photomatix. Quite pleased with the result.
Would love to know what kind of exposure compensation people bracket with.
