Week 2 I took a crash course in B&W photography over the weekend as a refresher. It had been years since I had been in a darkroom.

I think it would be helpful to have your theme either in the post or image details, gives us some context when commenting. Great start so far! Let me know if I left you off the master list. Cheers, Ben

I'm gonna have to change my Winter Florals theme to something less seasonal like just Florals..

I've decided on a theme for this side challenge. Mine will be close-up/macro. Most of my best scoring challenge entries were taken with my Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens. My Sigma 105mm macro is an incredibly sharp, great lens, but I don't score nearly as well with it in challenges. This year, I would like to devote more time trying to master the 105, and try to improve my challenge scores using it. The 105 is certainly very good for other than close-up/macro shots, so I may sneak in an occasional shot that doesn't fit that category.

This Iris photo was taken this morning. It is quite unusual to have Iris here in January, but we have several in the yard flowering right now. We also have African Daisies flowering. We've had lots of rain, but the weather has been very cool for Southern California.

Okay, now I'm off to try to catch up on some commenting.

I am sorry i am not going to do Basketball every week. that is just all that is going on around here now. basketball is big in small towns. We have had bad weather all week and I have not been out except for work and to shoot the game for the paper.
