The trees at the top look like they were painted on.
I too think the scale isn't really aparent here since there's no frame of reference. |

To me, I think the scale suffers a bit with this comp, and I think a b/w version would be more dramatic. Great find. I look forward to more pics. |

There's a lack of scale in it, in my opinion. It's impossible to realize how bit it is or how much of the 1 mile we're seeing. Something in the foreground or close to the bluff to give a reference would make it much better. And the hills kind of dwarf it as well, I think.
But I like the colours of the bluff and the barren field. It leads the eye to the left from high right to lower left with a spendid range of change during the travel of the eye. And I like the way the sky sorts of reverse mirrors the bluff in size all the way. |

I wonder if that field is loaded with wild flowers in the spring. If so, that bluff would make a great backdrop to them.
