I want to thank everyone who commented on my Selective De-saturation submission, Little Girl Blue Eyes. After I started getting the comments I re-did the image and came out with what I think is a much better result. I guess I was thinking the more noticeable the better. Well, I was clearly wrong. Please let me know how you like the re-done photo and how you rated the original and what you would have rated the re-done one.

Oh I do prefer the subtle colour much more - it's so reminiscent of old hand painted portraits of yesteryear. Both crops are very nice, I don't have a preference on that front. Marvellous picture.

i was one of the commenters who suggested a more subtile color and I really like the second version much more. I don't know if i would have rated it higher for selective desaturation (i already gave it an 8), but i like the picture much better.

It's beautiful both ways...but I think I prefer the more subtle one now. Wonderful shot. :o)

Was too much, now not enough blue - beautiful photo either way.

upper right corner is a tad over exposed, but other than that I love the photo!

Another vote for #2 - both coloring and cropping. Good job!

edit: Dumb keyboard, only 10 words & it misspelled 1.

The redo is much, much better IMO. It's a wonderful shot.
