Nobody wants to discuss the minimalist challenge?
07/26/2010 09:29:59 AM · #2
I think they want to keep the topic to a minimum :P

The ultimate minimalist picture in black and white will be a gray box.

Don't give CharlieBaker any ideas, he'll think of them on his own.

Good one Langdon, or who ever chose this for a challenge.

Now maybe we can have a Straight From The Camera challenge in the next year or two, maybe. It's only been 8 years and I think it's about time we got one. ;)

Minimalism In Photography

It was a couple of years ago that we had a straight from camera challenge. Im hoping for one as well since I put most of my emphasis on getting it perfect in camera. Also, my highest photo was in the minimal editing challenge.

Blame me.

Ironic that my lowest scoring image and first brown should have inspired the idea.

Would this be considered minimalist?

In MY opinion, there is a bit too much going on in that shot to count.

Figured I'd throw in a few of my shots that commenters remarked were minimalist or really simplistic. I never really knew it was a genre of photography until I joined this site and began participating. I've just always had a flair for the simple :) I'm looking forward to this challenge...

I guess a single wine glass should do well then ;-)

Somehow IreneM will win the blue for this one... my guts telling me she has good plans for it already!

I love minimalism, but i think the B&W rule will deter a lot of entries. Most of the time (not all the time), the color is what makes the photo really pop out even though it is "minimal" in subject.

Anybody want to give me some feedback on my minimalist entry?
